James Hovanec

James is the co-founder and co-CEO of Capital Real Estate Funding, LLC. Along with being co-CEO, he is the Partnerships and Portfolio Manager.....

James is the co-founder and co-CEO of Capital Real Estate Funding, LLC. Along with being co-CEO, he is the Partnerships Portfolio Manager. His responsibilities include portfolio management, overseeing all of the partnership’s investment decisions, developing new investment opportunities, as well as maintaining existing client relationships.

James is an alternative asset and structured finance professional with a broad background of asset based lending and development experience; particularly with residential development and commercial bridge financing.

Throughout his education, James became intimately familiar with the real estate industry by working alongside his father, a long-time developer, property manager and principal consultant for several national real estate firms. James advanced his own real estate knowledge as a mortgage banker at Sterling National Bank in 2001, eventually branching out and owning his own mortgage brokerage. In 2008, recognizing the need for creative private equity funding, James restructured his mortgage business and established Link Asset Solutions Corp - a leader in bridge financing in the NY market. James has been directly responsible for originating, structuring and funding over $500,000,000 in bridge financing throughout his career.

Neal Schwartz

Neal is the co-founder and co-CEO of Capital Real Estate Funding, LLC. Neal is a lifetime resident of Long Island. He graduated from Long Island University, CW Post campus with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA degree in tax and finance. As an accountant, with a specialty in tax matters, he built a package supply business which he ran for almost two decades, until he sold it in 2000.

In the intervening years, Neal started a wide variety of successful businesses, including equipment and auto leasing as well as a garment trimming and accessory business.

Since that time Neal has dealt almost exclusively with the real estate industry, encompassing the roles of owner, commercial landlord, investor, and most recently high-end developer in the New York City Tri-State area.

His latest role is as co-CEO of Capital Real Estate Funding, LLC a real estate lending company located in New York.
